What is REGES-ONLINE and how does it differ from Revisal?
Quick answer
- REGES-ONLINE is the new General Employee Records Registry, managed by the Labour Inspectorate.
- Since 1 January 2026, REGES-ONLINE is the only legal registry, and Revisal is deactivated.
- Unlike Revisal, there is no longer a desktop application: everything is submitted directly in the platform.
- The employer or authorised agent logs in online and submits data with an electronic signature.
- Contract data is entered and updated exclusively through reges.inspectiamuncii.ro.
What the law says
- REGES-ONLINE is governed by the legislation replacing the old Revisal registry (GD 905/2017).
- Revisal was deactivated on 31 December 2025; from 2026 it no longer has legal validity.
- The registry is filled in and submitted electronically, with a qualified electronic signature.
- The Labour Inspectorate administers the platform and checks the data submitted by employers.
Practical examples
- Example: a company that used the desktop Revisal app must, from 2026, submit contracts directly in the online REGES platform.
- Example: a company set up in 2026 no longer installs Revisal but creates an account directly in REGES-ONLINE.
- Example: corrections to a contract are no longer made in a local file but updated online in REGES.
Common mistakes
- Continuing to use the old Revisal after 1 January 2026, when it no longer has legal validity.
- Assuming REGES-ONLINE is just a web version of Revisal, when the submission process has changed entirely.
- Lacking a qualified electronic signature, which is required to submit data in the platform.
How 4softhr helps
- 4softhr keeps a full record of contracts and prepares the data in the format required by REGES-ONLINE.
- It centralises all contracts and addenda in a digital file per employee.
- It alerts HR when a change must be reflected in REGES so it is never left undeclared.
- It reduces errors by validating fields (duration, salary, working hours) before submission.
